Went and tried the items from the new menu. Shrimp provencal, light not strong in flavours. Beef cigar, really good, sauce is unique spiced but not spicy. Golden goat flatbread, too many grilled onions made it soggy, a creamier goat cheese might have been nicer.

This restaurant changes their menu very often so for a town with the size of peace river, this restaurant offers a continuous change of experience for everyone. Whenever we had friends and family visiting town, we always brought them to Board n barrel. Dinners are great. Lunch, allot a little more time because they do not have as many staff during lunch time. Birthdays, dinners, etc, this would be the highly recommended place. They're in doordash too!

Great tasting burger with the ability choose sides without an up charge! (Fries, bbq fries, truffle fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, house salad, or soup). The mussels were incredibly tender and steak bites had a good crust without being over cooked. The restaurant was a great spot to catch the game, eat good food, and grab some drinks after work.

I’m someone who really appreciates great service, its about more than serving food and drinks. Its the attentiveness, the timing, the ability to laugh and joke with us — and Chelsea understood our group perfectly. The food was wonderful, as always (I even ordered extra to take home, and I legit could eat that homemade soup every day). But our server Chelsea truly deserves recognition. She added a level of value that made our lunch memorable. Our visit was genuinely better because of her, and we even talked about her afterward. We agreed that for someone so young, she carried herself with such ease and did such a fantastic job. The manager made us laugh on our way out into the freezing cold, which just emphasized the great experience. 10/10 start to finish. Only thing that would have made it better is if someone offered to go out and start my car in this bad weather! 😂

This has to be one of the best meals I've had in a long while, the steak was cooked to perfection, great experance 👍
